"Consent" is a contemporary social drama of the #metoo era. It asks whether we have any way to escape our destinies as men and women in this world, or if we are simply destined to hurt one another.

A young woman is raped on the day of her younger sister's funeral. The two lawyers handling the case happen to be old friends. Slowly, the rape trial seeps into their living rooms, sowing destruction in their relationships and lifelong friendships, and shattering their entire world. The victim from the trial haunts the three couples—initially as a sort of phantom—until she eventually appears physically in their home, and the living room itself is transformed into a courtroom.
